about us

The Company Rokas Constructions SA, having initially been established in 1958 under a different name and legal form, was initially engaged in the design, construction and installation of lifting and handling equipment. In 1977, following its conversion to C. Rokas SA, the Company built its new modern production unit in the Industrial Zone of Tripolis and started specializing in more complex steel structures, supplying equipment to major commercial ports, shipyards and heavy industries in Greece and abroad.

In 2000, as a confirmation of the importance placed by the Company on the quality of its products, it was certified as per international standards ISO 9001/1994 and in 2003 as per ISO 9001/2000.

During the period 1991-1992, the Company constructed the first wind farms in Greece for the Public Power Corporation (PPC). Capitalizing its experience in the construction of energy projects, in 1998, the Company constructed the first private wind farm in Greece, with a capacity of 10.2 MW in Sitia, Crete, paving the way for the development of Renewable Energy Sources in the country. Rokas was awarded the Best investment of the year award by the Center for Renewable Energy Sources.

As a result of its diversification, it was decided in 2008 to transfer the traditional activity of the company to a new subsidiary. So, Rokas Constructions SA was established as a 100% subsidiary of C. Rokas SA, with the particular scope to serve the Groups needs in the sector of electromechanical equipment.
